Ilford has for the first time coated one of their B&W 35mm films onto a clearer roll film base with its anti-halation protection. This limited edition variant of the classic fine grain Ilford film favorite offers subtle improvements to dynamic range, shadow detail, scanning, halation, and sharpness, while still retaining the same characteristics, speed, and processing times as the standard product. We only have limited quantities available, but decided to test shoot a roll ourselves ultimo October 2026 on a Hasselblad Xpan. We used both the standard 45mm lens and the 90mm portrait lens and were thrilled to see the results. This is a very nice black and white film!
