Harman (Ilford's parent company) decided to produce a color film - their first real color film. It arrived December 2023 and we took it to the grey streets of Copenhagen (the sun was absent during our testing period) and here are the first results. The colors and grain structure is very different from Kodak films, the Phoenix has much more of a Lomo feel to it as you can see in these samples. The film, undeveloped has a yellowish base and the developed negatives look almost like they were cross-processed (when you develop postive E-6 films in C-41 color chemistry). We scanned these on our high resolution Hasselblad Flextight X1 scanner.
First we shot in daylight - without flash on a high end Nikon SLR, an Olympus Mju and a fancy Leica M6. Scroll down to see how it acts in a cheap plasticky point and shoot with flash.

...since we assume that most people will be shooting this "colorful color film" in a plastic point and shoot with a constant firing flash, we also test shot a roll in a cheap Sport24 camera with a 24mm lens. There's flash on all of the following test shots except for the last one.
